Ben, two key penalty decisions in the Big Blue at Jubilee Oval on Sunday, talk us through the decisions and the VAR process for both incidents.

In the first incident Sydney FC are awarded a penalty by the referee after he deemed that Terry Antonis pushed Paulo Retre.

The VAR checked the decision and determined that there was some contact from Antonis on Retre and so the on-field decision should be upheld.

VARs have been instructed to set a high threshold for clear and obvious errors and to avoid intervening in subjective decisions.

In the second incident Melbourne Victory are awarded a penalty after Keisuke Honda is recklessly tripped by Jop van der Linden in the penalty area.

The VAR checked the decision and agreed with the on-field decision to award a penalty kick and a yellow card.
