Aaron Mooy and Huddersfield Town will be dropped straight back into the cauldron when the Premier League returns as they host high-flying Liverpool at 3:30am on Sunday.
Key midfielder Mooy missed Caltex Socceroos camp with a slight groin strain but appears a good chance of handing the Terriers a much-needed fitness boost.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Brighton and Hove Albion will be looking to make it two on the trot when they head to struggling Newcastle United at 1:00am on Sunday.
Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet in his last outing before the international break and will be hoping for more of the same at St James' Park.
Both matches will be broadcast live on Optus Sport.
In the Championship, Bailey Wright will be in the mix for his first minutes as Bristol City travel to Brentford, while Massimo Luongo's Queens Park Rangers head to Ipswich Town.
Luongo's midfield partner from the win over Kuwait, Jackson Irvine, could slot straight back in for Hull City's hosting of Preston North End with James Meredith and Millwall on the road to Reading.

Scotland: Crunch all-Aussie clash in title race
As many as four current Caltex Socceroos - and one man on the cusp - could take centre stage in the match of the weekend in the Scottish Premiership.
Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani both impressed during the week and could be involved in Celtic's home date with Hibernian, who count Mark Milligan, Jamie Maclaren and Martin Boyle among their ranks.
Maclaren is believed to be nearing a return from a back injury, while Milligan and Boyle have been instrumental in edging Neil Lennon's side a point ahead of the champions.
That fixture commences at 1:00am Sunday and so too does Hearts' meeting with Aberdeen at Tynecastle, where Ben Garuccio has featured regularly.
Germany: Leckie eyes more Bundesliga minutes

Trent Sainsbury started PSV's previous fixture and it will be intriguing to see what role he and Aziz Behich play at home to Emmen on Sunday at 3:30am.
Elsewhere, Denis Genreau and PEC Zwolle have a tough trip to third-placed Feyenoord at 11:30pm on Sunday.

Awer Mabil was the toast of Australia after notching on his international debut and should be full of confidence for Midtjylland's match at Nordsjaelland on Sunday at 1:00am, as Mustafa Amini and AGF and Mustafa Amini host Aalborg (Monday 3:00am) elsewhere in Denmark.
Genk are likewise top in Belgium and will welcome back the in-form Danny Vukovic for a home date with Eupen at 5:30am on Sunday.
Apostolos Giannou, fresh from opening his Caltex Socceroos account against Kuwait, will link up with AEK Larnaca for a meeting with visitors Doxa in Cyprus on Sunday at 3:00am.
