It was a big round of Westfield W-League action as the Premiership was decided and the last four was set in stone.
Melbourne Victory won their maiden Premiership by downing Perth Glory 2-1 while Melbourne City just missed out on making the finals for the first time in their short history.
As always there were plenty of Westfield Matildas in action across the weekend’s fixtures.

Tameka scores Butt not enough for City
Melbourne City have perfected the art of the late run but there was a feeling they had left their run a little too late this time.
Heading into their match against Sydney FC, City had to not only win but win big and hope that fierce rivals Victory comfortably beat the Glory.
Westfield Matildas midfielder Tameka Butt did her part, netting in the 86th minute to secure the three points but it wasn’t enough as they stayed in fifth place on goal difference.
Alanna Kennedy, Chloe Logarzo, Caitlin Foord, Princess Ibini and Lisa De Vanna all took the field for the Sky Blues as they prepare for their semi-final against Brisbane Roar on Sunday.
Kerr brilliance undone by Gielnik power
No doubt the game of the round, Victory overcame Glory 2-1 to win their first ever Premiership.
Westfield Matildas forward Emily Gielnik put Victory 2-0 ahead in the second half with a powerfully driven strike into the bottom left corner, a moment that looked to have handed the Premiers Plate to Melbourne.
That goal ultimately proved decisive as early in the second half Sam Kerr pulled one back for Perth after a clever link-up with Alyssa Mautz.
The Westfield Matildas striker headed the ball to Mautz who headed straight back before Kerr dispatched it past Casey Dumont.
Laura Alleway also featured in navy blue.
Around the grounds
Friday night’s first match between Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar saw Michelle Heyman a constant threat all night for the home side as they ran out 1-0 winners while the Roar featured Hayley Raso, Clare Polkinghorne and Mackenzie Arnold.
Finally, Gema Simon played all 90 minutes as her Newcastle jets thrashed Western Sydney Wanderers 4-1.
