With the FIFA Women's World Cup™ just 22 days away, Football Australia has today released key dates for the CommBank Matildas' upcoming schedule, including the squad announcement for the major tournament next week.

Squad Announcement - Monday 3 July

After releasing a 29-player provisional squad, CommBank Matildas’ Head Coach Tony Gustavsson will reveal his 23-player squad for the upcoming tournament on Monday.

Fed Square Final Squad Presentation - Tuesday 11 July

On Tuesday 11 July in Federation Square, Melbourne, the CommBank Matildas will be making a very special public appearance in Melbourne, Vic and we're looking for 23x people named Matilda, aged 5+, to be part of a very special presentation.

CommBank Matildas v France - Friday 14 July

The CommBank Matildas will host world number five, France, in a ‘Send Off Match’ at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Friday, 14 July 2023. 

The fixture, to be held on Bastille Day, will be the final international for the team prior to commencing their FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ campaign against the Republic of Ireland on 20 July.  

Over 40,000 tickets have already been claimed for this thrilling Bastille Day clash, guaranteeing Melbourne’s place in history as they prepare to break the previous record attendance for a standalone CommBank Matildas’ match.

Arrival at Base Camp - Saturday 15 July

The team will then make their way from Melbourne to their FIFA Women’s World Cup™ base camp.

Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC) and Rydges South Bank Hotel Brisbane will become the CommBank Matildas’ official hosts as their training and accommodation base.
