Talented fullback to depart City

Dylan Pierias will leave Melbourne City at the end of his scholarship contract, the club confirmed today.

The highly rated fullback became the first player born in the 21st century to play in the Hyundai A-League when he debuted for City against Brisbane Roar in February 2017 at 16 years of age.

However, the 19-year-old has played just 22 minutes in the competition since - two substitute appearances against Sydney FC and Perth Glory this season.

Pierias

 

Melbourne-born Pierias was a key part of the City's Foxtel National Youth League Championship in 2017, a team which included the likes of Caltex Socceroos and Celtic starlet Daniel Arzani.

He has recently been linked with a move to Western United.
