As Melbourne Victory's big names unsurprisingly grabbed the attention, an Australian midfielder's display against Western Sydney Wanderers perhaps went underappreciated.
Terry Antonis produced yet another fine performance amid an increasingly impressive campaign, helping Victory record a 4-0 win over the Wanderers.
The ex-Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC man jostled for centre stage with the likes of Keisuke Honda and Ola Toivonen, while Round 6 saw Craig Goodwin continue his good form for Adelaide United and Melbourne City's love of Sundays roll on.

Victory untroubled by Wanderers as Marvel drought ends
For the first time in seven games at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Victory were winners and in style, thrashing Western Sydney Wanderers 4-0.
Keisuke Honda was at the centre of everything as Victory extended their unbeaten run against the Wanderers to nine games.
But Terry Antonis also starred, capping his performance with a powerful sealer after Raul Baena's first Victory goal and Kosta Barbarouses' penalty had put the hosts in complete control.
The midfielder set up Honda's opener, creating double the number of chances (six) of any other player on the pitch. The Japanese superstar was second with three.
Antonis has now scored three goals and provided two assists in six Hyundai A-League games this season.
Goodwin, Halloran lead Reds past Roar
Ben Halloran scored his first Hyundai A-League goals for Adelaide United in a 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar at Coopers Stadium.
Halloran's brace – the attacker scored either side of half-time – were his first goals in the competition since March 2013, when he netted for Brisbane against Adelaide.
Henrique pulled a goal back for Roar in the second half, but Brisbane have now conceded two or more goals in seven straight away games, losing for the fourth time in that run.
Goodwin, who set up Halloran's opener, continued his eye-catching form this season by creating an incredible seven chances, the Reds holding on for their win after both teams were reduced to 10 men in the second half.
Goodwin has three goals and as many assists after six league games.
Krishna breaks record as Castro gets back in the groove
Roy Krishna became Wellington Phoenix's all-time top scorer during the 1-1 draw with Perth Glory at Westpac Stadium.
Krishna's first-half effort took him past Paul Ifill (33) for most goals in the club's history.
The celebrations were tempered when Diego Castro came off the bench to earn Perth - who had Andy Keogh make his 100th Hyundai A-League appearance - a point against then 10 men, Ryan Lowry having seen red.
Castro only played 25 minutes, but he quickly reminded us of just how good he is by creating more chances (three) than any other player on the field.
Sundays still a success for City
Melbourne City have enjoyed playing on the final day of the week, extending their unbeaten run in games played on Sundays to seven with a 3-0 win over the Newcastle Jets.
Facing the Jets at AAMI Park has also brought joy to City, who have lost just one of their previous 11 games between the clubs at the venue.
Riley McGree and Luke Brattan scored fine goals before Lachlan Wales netted in the Hyundai A-League for the first time to seal City's win.
The Jets, who were victories when the two faced off in the Finals Series in April, last recorded back-to-back wins over City in 2013.
Sky Blues continue away day dominance at Mariners
Brandon O'Neill's stunning strike from distance helped Sydney overcome the Central Coast Mariners 2-1, marking their 10th victory in the past 13 games between the clubs.
The Sky Blues have enjoyed their road trips, now having lost just one of their previous 14 games on the road.
Adam Le Fondre cancelled out Matt Simon's opener with a penalty, taking his tally to six goals in the league this season.
Matthew Millar, who set up Simon's goal, was impressive in midfield, creating more chances (three) than any other player on the ground.
