The draw for the next stage of the competition was held in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon, and pits the Reds against Bunyodkor, the team who they beat to open their campaign and then drew with in Adelaide.
Despite their disappointing domestic season, Adelaide have continued to impress in the Champions League, defeating the likes of Gamba Osaka and Pohang Steelers to finish on top of Group E.
They then beat Indonesian side Perispura Jayapura 3-0 at Hindmarsh Stadium to book their place in the quarter finals.
Should they make it all the way to the final, by being in the bottom half of the draw the Reds will get the chance to host the final.
