Outcome of independent Match Review Panel - Round 14
The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) - consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Alan Contini and Adam D’Apuzzo – convened on Monday, 21 January 2019 to consider an incident involving Jason Hoffman (Hoffman) of Newcastle Jets in or around the 73rd minute of Newcastle Jets’ Hyundai A-League Round 14 Match against Sydney FC on Saturday, 19 January 2019.
The MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Hoffman was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.

The MRP determined that Hoffman had committed the offence of “serious unsporting conduct.”
The MRP confirmed that Hoffman will serve a suspension of one (1) match, being the minimum sanction for the offence.
