Outcome of independent Match Review Panel - Round 11

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) - consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Alan Contini and Adam D’Apuzzo – convened on Monday, 7 January 2019 to consider an incident involving Daniel Bowles (Bowles) of Brisbane Roar FC in or around the 84th minute of Brisbane Roar FC’s Hyundai A-League Round 11 Match against Perth Glory on Sunday, 6 January 2019.   

The MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Bowles was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.

The MRP determined that Bowles had committed the offence of “Denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, as prescribed in Law 12 of the Laws of the Game.” 

The MRP confirmed that Bowles will serve a suspension of one (1) match, being the minimum sanction for the offence.
