It is a mouth-watering rematch of epic proportions as Melbourne Victory host Sydney FC in for the second time in a matter of weeks in a Westfield W-League Semi-Final blockbuster.
The Sky Blues relinquished second spot on the table to Melbourne Victory in the last round of the 2019/20 campaign, after Jeff Hopkins' side won 3-1 in their Round 14 showdown.
That result gives Victory the advantage heading into the Semi Final contest, set to take place at Epping Stadium on Saturday on March 14, where Ante Juric and the Sky Blues will aim to enact their revenge on their bitter rivals.
These two sides bookended the 2019/20 campaign with fixtures in Round 1 and 14. Sydney notched a comprehensive 3-0 win in the first clash before Victory won the return fixture on their home deck to clinch second spot ahead of the Finals Series.
The fortunes of both sides may depend on the impact of their respective Golden Boot winners. Sydney's Remy Siemsen and Victory captain Natasha Dowie both had their share of the prize this season with seven goals apiece throughout the campaign, and both strikers will be hungry to outshine each other when they go head to head on Saturday afternoon.
