Melbourne Victory tease fans with Kei Nishikori 'signing'

Melbourne Victory fans may have thought another Japanese star was joining their ranks after the club posted a cheeky tweet with Keisuke Honda and Kei Nishikori.

The 29-year-old Japanese tennis player is in Australia on the eve of the Australian Open, having recently won the Brisbane International.

Compatriot Honda, who has lit up the Hyundai A-League since arriving on Australian shores, took time out of his rehab to grab a few photos with Nishikori.


The pair looked happy to have caught up, and it was business as usual as they appeared to share insights into their respective careers.

It was great to see two stars of different sports all smiles ahead of their large summers ahead.
