A condensed European Cup knockout phase sees several Aussies competing for the continent’s greatest prize, while top-of-the-table clashes and survival spots await in Norway and Sweden.
Norway
Karly Røestbakken’s LSK Kvinner will hope to regain top spot in the Toppserien, hosting their title rivals and current front-runners Vålerenga on Saturday 8:00pm (AEST).
Fresh off defeating their aforementioned Westfield Matildas team-mate, Clare Polkinghorne and Katrina Gorry will look to push Avaldsnes toward the top two and potential European football when they take on third-place Rosenborg BK Kvinner (previously known as Trondheims-Ørn) at 11:00pm on Saturday (AEST).
At the other end of the table, Tegan Micah’s Arna-Bjørnar will face Kolbotn on Saturday at 8:00pm (AEST). Both sides sit just one win outside of the relegation zone, and as both clubs are currently on equal points, each will be desperate for a win after slow starts to their respective seasons.

France
On the hunt for their fifth consecutive UEFA Women’s Champions League title, Ellie Carpenter’s Olympique Lyonnais will face German giants Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals on Saturday at 4:00am (AEST). Carpenter will look to build on her Coupe de France trophy with a European crown over the next two weeks.

Across in Montpellier, Mary Fowler recorded her first goal for the French side in a warm up match.
Sweden
Emily Gielnik heads into week 12 of the Damallsvenskan off the back of her first brace, helping her side Vittsjö out of the relegation zone last week. They now face fifth-placed Eskilstuna United on Sunday at 11:00pm (AEST), with Vittsjö in need of more goals from their Australian forward to climb further into safety.
Netherlands
Kyah Simon and Amy Harrison are continuing their preparation for the upcoming Eredevisie season, with PSV Eindhoven scheduled to play two friendly matches over the weekend against Belgian side Standard Liege (Saturday 3:30am AEST) and fellow Dutch outfit Heerenveen (Sunday 11:15pm AEST).
It will be interesting to watch how coach Sander Luiten uses the two Westfield Matildas during this quick turn-over of matches.
England
Although the FA Women’s Super League is yet to start, plenty of the Westfield Matildas are on show as kick-off for the 2020/21 season draws closer.
Alanna Kennedy is the latest to head to the FA WSL with the announcement of her Tottenham move making it 8 Westfield Matildas in the league.
Arsenal FC continue their UEFA Champions League run against French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain, with the quarter-final clash kicking off on Saturday at 4:00am (AEST). Australian trio Caitlin Foord, Steph Catley and Lydia Williams will be battling for starting spots as the Gunners attempt to win their second European Cup.

Sam Kerr and her Chelsea FC team-mates continue their FA Community Shield preparation, with the side set to face Manchester City in just over a week’s time.
Meanwhile, in East London, West Ham United have not been camera-shy with their new recruit Mackenzie Arnold. The Aussie shot-stopper has been showcasing her acrobatics in training and will push for the Irons’ number one spot with the new season just over the horizon.
Bristol City’s Chloe Logarzo continues her pre-season training with the Robins less than three weeks from the start of the season.
Spain
Alex Chidiac has been named in Atletico Madrid’s UEFA Women’s Champions League squad to face fellow Spanish outfit FC Barcelona in the quarter-final on Saturday at 2:00am (AEST).
The midfielder returns from a serious ankle injury, having missed the final few months of her side’s Primera Division campaign.
