There will be up to five CommBank Matildas in action as Arsenal takes on Manchester City, Aivi Luik is playing for silverware in Sweden, and Emily van Egmond is playing for a place in the NWSL final.

England
Sam Kerr’s Chelsea will open the weekend’s fixtures in the FA WSL as they travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, 11.30 pm AEDT. They are second on the table after four rounds, behind Manchester City on goal difference. They will be hoping that Kerr’s goalscoring form in the international break – five goals in three games – will help them overwhelm a Villa team without a point so far this season.
Up to five CommBank Matildas will be in action on Sunday, 11.30 pm AEDT as Arsenal host Manchester City. Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley have been ever-present for the Gunners so far this season, while Kyra Cooney-Cross has been an option from the bench.
Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy have been similarly ever-present for Manchester City. Fowler’s utilisation by Gareth Taylor in the wide attacking spaces was built on with great impact by Tony Gustavsson in the international window. With two assists already this season, she can be expected to have an impact on the fixture.
Fresh off her first goal international goal, Clare Wheeler’s Everton will travel to Tottenham to take on Spurs on Monday, 1am AEDT. She has been used as a wing-back in recent games and with teammate Lucy Hope out for a total of 6 – 8 weeks with an ankle injury, she could continue to play in that role for several rounds to come.
At the same kickoff time of Monday, 1am AEDT, Teagan Micah's Liverpool host Leicester City. Both teams are sitting mid-table on seven points and will be hoping for a win to keep pace with teams like Arsenal and Manchester United. Courtney Nevin has already secured an assist from a set piece this season and is expected to start at left-back again.
Mackenzie Arnold’s West Ham will host bottom-of-the-table Bristol City on Monday, 2am AEDT in search of their second win of the season. Arnold, who is the Hammers’ captain, has conceded five goals to 6.8 post-shot xG this season – meaning that she has conceded nearly two goals less than the average keeper. Her team will be hoping her good form can continue throughout the season.
Brighton & Hove Albion will play Manchester United in the final fixture of the weekend on Monday, 5.45am AEDT. A win for Brighton would lift them up to six points clear of the relegation zone. Charlie Rule will be hoping to put everything she learned training with the CommBank Matildas in the international break into practice.

Sweden
Kristianstads DFF host Rosengård on Sunday, 11pm AEDT. Amy Sayer impressed in the international break and, with two games left in the Damallsvensken season, will be hoping to make a lasting impression with the club that she joined in August. There is a slim chance that they will be able to sneak into the top three but for the most part, they are playing for pride.
Clare Polkinghorne, Charli Grant and Katrina Gorry’s Vittsjö will host Norrköping on Monday, 1am AEDT. Neither team can make the top three or are in danger of relegation, but there will be plenty of incentive for individual players to perform on both sides.
A team with plenty to play for is Aivi Luik’s BK Häcken. They currently sit three points clear on top of the table and take on second-place Hammarby on Monday, 3am AEDT. A win would see them secure the Damallsvenskan title, a draw would mean that a win next week would be enough, while a loss would mean that the title could come down to goal difference. Luik started the game last week and is in contention to play an important role in a massive fixture.

Clare Hunt’s PSG will host Guingamp on Sunday, 1am AEDT. Hunt is back to full fitness and is expected to play a key role in PSG’s title challenge this season after starting her first league game in the round before the international break.
The spiciest match of the round is surprise package Paris FC taking on Ellie Carpenter’s Lyon in the Australia-friendly timeslot of Monday, 7am AEDT. The teams are currently joint top of the table with five wins from five. Carpenter is expected to start at right back as the best two teams in the competition go head-to-head.

Spain
Real Madrid will take on Eiber on Sunday, 4.30am AEDT. Madrid is currently third on the table, three points behind first-place Barcelona. Hayley Raso is expected to start for Los Blancos to build on her one goal so far.

United States
It’s playoff time in the NWSL. Emily van Egmond’s San Diego Wave takes on OL Reign on Monday, 1.30pm AEDT to determine who will play in the final next week. Van Egmond is expected to start the game in midfield and will be an important part of their potential success, building off their NWSL shield won in the regular season.

Mexico
It’s the final game of the season in Mexico as Alex Chidiac’s Tigres UANL take on Necaxa on Saturday, 10am AEDT. A defeat against Monterrey in the previous round means that they are one point off top place. If Tigres can secure the victory, they will be relying on Club América to slip up against Monterrey to finish top of the Apertura half of the season.
After this round, the top eight teams will contest in a finals series to determine to overall winner of the Apertura.
