It was business as usual for the Westfield Matildas at club level with one notable exception. Here's a wrap of all the weekend's action. 

England 

The FA Cup fourth round saw the introduction of the FA WSL teams and the Australians were amongst the thick of the action. 

Emily van Egmond scored four in West Ham's 11-0 rout of Chichester. The bag takes her goal tally across all competitions to 10. 

While van Egmond scoring was not out of the ordinary, the match also included something far from the usual. Mackenzie Arnold entered the match in the 68th minute as a midfielder, not a goalkeeper. 

It was a successful weekend for the Australians with Alanna Kennedy's Tottenham progressing through to the next round after a 3-2 win after extra time. Kennedy's free kick skills came to the fore as she equalised for Spurs in the 20th minute. 

Everton were 2-1 winners over Durham with Hayley Raso putting in a player of the match performance, setting up the injury time winner.  Caitlin Foord was up top and Lydia Williams kept a clean sheet as Arsenal ran out 10-0 winners over Gillingham.

Bristol lost 1-0 to fellow FA WSL side Brighton with Ella Mastrantonio coming on as a second half substitute, while Chelsea rested players - including Sam Kerr - in their 5-0 win over London City Lionesses. 

France 

Laura Brock and Mary Fowler enjoyed wins for their respective sides in the Division 1 Féminine. Brock played a full match in Guingamp's 2-0 win over Fleury 91, while Fowler scored one of Montpellier's three goals in their victory over Issy FF.

In UEFA Women's Champions League action, Ellie Carpenter's Lyon - the five time reigning champions - were knocked out in the quarter finals by fellow French side PSG. 

Sweden 

Emily Gielnik was on the score sheet once again, scoring her 16th goal of 2021 across 14 games for club and country. Her and Clare Polkinghorne were strong for Vittsjö in a 2-1 win. 

Dylan Holmes' BK Häcken were 1-0 winners over Hammarby. 

Netherlands 

PSV defeated Ajax 1-0 in the KNVB Cup semi final to book their place in the final of the competition. Amy Harrison was a 74th minute substitute into the match. 

Rest of Europe 

Sevilla were 3-2 winners over Atletico Madrid with Aivi Luik running out a full game. Beattie Goad's SV Meppen went down 3-1 to SGS Essen in the Frauen Bundesliga. 

Alex Huynh's Napoli lost 4-0 to AC Milan in Italy, while Indiah-Paige Riley and Fortuna Hjorring went down 4-1 with Riley playing a half.
