History will be on Sydney FC’s side when they travel south to take on Western United FC on Saturday afternoon.
In the only two A-League meetings between the two clubs, the away team has been victorious on both occasions, while Western United FC have yet to win a match at AAMI Park.
Recent form is also on the side of the Sky Blues, with the defending champions having won their last two matches, while Mark Rudan’s men have won just once in five games this campaign.
But that’s not to say United aren’t in with a big chance in this one, with the side in good goalscoring form having hit the net seven times in their last three outings.
They’ll need to be at their attacking best to penetrate the Sky Blues defence though, with Sydney’s five goals conceded the least of any club so far in 2020/21.
This promises to be an intriguing and feisty clash to kick-off a ‘Super Saturday in the A-League.
