Matchweek 6 preview: Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United

Two of the A-League’s form teams go head-to-head as Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United aim to position themselves among the competition frontrunners on Saturday at Dolphin Stadium.

Warren Moon’s Roar have hit their stride and pieced together back-to-back wins to sit three points off the ladder-leading Central Coast Mariners, while Carl Veart’s second-placed Reds can climb to top spot, overnight at least, with a victory.

Ipswich-born forward Dylan Wenzel-Halls netted in two straight games as the Queenslanders saw off Melbourne Victory, 3-1, and Newcastle Jets, 2-1, to move to fifth, while Japanese import Riku Danzaki has impressed on the opposite wing.

Sixteen-year-old sensation Mohamed Toure scored the only goal as Adelaide got back to winning ways last Saturday with a 1-0 win over Victory, but the Reds are yet to claim maximum points away from the City of Churches in their two road games this season.
