Last chance to vote for Kerr for The Best FIFA Women’s Player 2019 award

Time is running out to get your vote in for Westfield Matildas skipper Sam Kerr for The Best FIFA Women’s Player 2019 award.

Kerr, who also plays for Perth Glory and Chicago Red Stars, is one of 12 woman in the running for the prestigious prize.

And this is the last call to get your votes in, with voting closing at 8am on Tuesday, August 20 (AEST).

The award - which was won last year by Brazil icon Marta - is based on footballing achievements from May 25 2018 to July 7 2019 inclusive.

During that specified period of time, Kerr won the National Women's Soccer League and Westfield W-League Golden Boots, each for the second consecutive season.

She also netted five goals in four FIFA Women's World Cup matches to guide Ante Milicic's side to the Round of 16.

You can vote for Kerr HERE. The award winner will be revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards show in Milan on September 23.

Kerr is not the only Australian in the running for an award, with former Melbourne City Westfield W-League coach Joe Montemurro nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach 2019 award.

Montemurro is one of 10 candidates for the top prize, acknowledged for his sensational record with Arsenal’s women’s team  from May 25, 2018 to July 7, 2019 inclusive.
