How to watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ Draw

With the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ draw only days away, we have all the information on how to follow the draw to see who we will be pitted against next year. 

The draw will be broadcast LIVE and FREE on Optus SportFIFA+ & 7Plus this Saturday on October 22 in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau at 5:30pm AEDT.

Around 800 guests will be in attendance including the FIFA President & Secretary General, FIFA Legends, Aotearoa New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Australian Federal Minister for Sport Anika Wells, representatives from the qualified teams, and international media.

There’s a star-studded line-up of sporting greats playing key roles at the Draw with an impressive list of FIFA Legends including former Football Fern Maia Jackman and former Matilda and Legacy ’23 Ambassador Julie Dolan, with a full list to be revealed later this week.

The Draw builds anticipation for football fans around the world as they find out who their teams will play in their three group matches. The 32 teams (including three to be confirmed in the inaugural Play-Off Tournament in February) are allocated into eight groups of four.

Australia, as co-hosts, has been drawn into Pot 1, they would not be able to face New Zealand, the USA, Sweden, England, Germany, France and Spain in the group stage as the other countries in this pot. Australia can not be drawn into the same group as other members of the AFC confederation.
