Gallery: Karacic, Dougall, McGree debut as the Socceroos return in Kuwait

The Socceroos hit the ground running during their first outing in 18 months with a 3-0 victory over Kuwait on Friday morning's (AEST).

It took Australia less than a minute to break the deadlock as captain Mathew Leckie headed home after just 53 second.

Jackson Irvine touched home Martin Boyle's saved penalty after 23 minutes before the second half saw Ajdin Hrustic steal the show on his first Socceroos start, crashing home a terrific long-range free kick. 

It was also a day that trio Fran Karacic, Kenny Dougall and Riley McGree would never forget, as they became Socceroos #607, #608 and #609 respectively. 

The Socceroos continue their busy schedule of FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chinese Taipei on Monday, 7 June 2021 (8 June AEST) at 5:00am AEST.
