An upset was on the cards when Tasmania-s Joshua Williamsonstruck first in the in the 31st minute just before half time but Victoria keptfighting to draw level in the 47th minute through Adrian Vubiqi beforethe comeback was complete two minutes later by John Maclean.WesternAustralia suffered their first defeat of the championships, going down 5-0 to awell drilled New South Wales outfit. Three unanswered goals in first half toBright Appiah, Kevin Ly and Jake Adelson set up the win before second halfstrikes from Jordan Nadalin and Brandon Lundy sealed their third consecutivevictory.

Along with Western Australia, South Australia remains justthree points behind the top two courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Queensland. Asecond half brace from Shahwali Rezaee and a third goal from Marc Marino toomuch for Queensland who could only find the net once through Stephen O-Neill inthe 35th minute.

The ACT remain winless after a tough 2-1 loss to NorthernNSW as both sides battle for maiden victories. Stefan Barrie struck first forNorthern NSW after only a minute but scores were again levelled in the 18thminute by Jordan Tskenis. Northern NSW-s Reece Papas put his side ahead in theshadows of full time from a penalty in the 45th minute.

In the Girls 14 competition, New South Wales recorded theirthird consecutive victory at the championships with a 2-0 victory over WesternAustralia. First half strikes from New South Wales- Jessica Dominello andKristina Janeska two minutes apart was enough to ensure the perfect startcontinues.

Northern NSW remains only two points adrift after a 3-0 winover South Australia. First half goals from Iesha Veness in the 13th minute andAdianna Jones in the 23rd minute gave Northern NSW a comfortable lead at the breakbefore Taylah Smith extended the lead in the 48th minute.

Queensland recorded their maiden victory in Canberra to moveoff the bottom of the table into third with a 2-1 victory over Victoria.Queensland-s Marnie Boraso opened the scoring in the 3rd minute however theirlead was nullified when Julia Sardo struck in the 16th minute to level thescores before the game was finally won in the dying minutes when Bronte Rosenotched the winner in the 48th minute.
