The movement is gaining some traction with a host of current and former football stars pledging their support for the release of the 25-year old Pascoe Vale player.

Support from some famous faces was clear for all to see on Twitter.

Members of the football family can show their support for Hakeem by completing the online petition at Amnesty.org.au (https://action.amnesty.org.au/act-now/savehakeem-tell-thailand-to-release-refugee-footballer).
