Football Federation Australia (FFA) expressed their commitment to freeing Hakeem through their #SaveHakeem banners at last weekend’s Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League matches.

The movement is gaining some traction with a host of current and former football stars pledging their support for the release of the 25-year old Pascoe Vale player.
Support from some famous faces was clear for all to see on Twitter.
While closer to home a few of our own showed their support.
Members of the football family can show their support for Hakeem by completing the online petition at Amnesty.org.au (https://action.amnesty.org.au/act-now/savehakeem-tell-thailand-to-release-refugee-footballer).
