Mierzejewski had just one season at the Sky Blues but was a huge hit, scoring 13 goals and contributing nine assists from 25 games in the Hyundai A-League.

The 31-year-old also played a key role in helping the club lift the FFA Cup trophy, producing a man-of-the-match performance in the win over Adelaide United in the final.

Mierzejewski is one of a handful of experienced players to leave the back-to-back Premiers since the end of the 2017/18 Season.

Golden Boot winner Bobo, striker Matt Simon, veteran David Carney and defenders Jordy Buijs and Luke Wilkshire have also departed, along with coach Graham Arnold.

New boss Steve Corica now faces the huge task of replacing those names, with the Sky Blues linked with Spanish World Cup winner Fernando Torres.
