Westfield Matildas defender Emma Checker has been announced as the newest player of D1 Féminine club FC Fleury 91.
Checker, 24, who was most recently involved in Melbourne City's Westfield W-League Championship-winning season, will be embarking on her second overseas stint.
The central defender was a rock at the back for City, helping the club amass the most clean sheets in the competition.
FC Fleury 91 finished seventh in the 2019–20 Division 1 Féminine season, with the competition abandoned after 16 rounds due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
