Emily van Egmond signs new deal with Wave FC

Emily van Egmond will be returning to the NWSL for the upcoming season, re-signing with the reigning NSWL Shield Winners, San Diego Wave, through the 2025 season.

The midfielder has spent the last two seasons with Wave FC, returning back to her hometown club for a four-game guest stint with Newcastle Jets in Wave's off-season.

Van Egmond was instrumental in helping Wave FC to their first-ever piece of silverware, helping the side to the NWSL Shield last season, which was presented to the team with the best regular season record after Wave finished in first place.
