Dandenong City appoint Ognenovski as head coach

Former Caltex Socceroo Sasa Ognenovski has been appointed the new coach of Dandenong City.

The 40-year-old had joined the club in a technical capacity last April alongside fellow ex-Australian international Ante Moric.

But with Moric joining Mark Rudan's coaching staff at Hyundai A-League newcomers Western United, NPL Victoria outfit Dandenong have given the 22-cap Caltex Socceroo the reins.

It is Ognenovski's first role as a head coach following his retirement in 2018.

He will be flanked by former Port Melbourne Sharks assistant coach Semi Sivic.

Dandenong City finished the NPL Victoria 2019 campaign seventh in the club's first season in the top flight.
