CommBank Matildas trio Mackenzie Arnold, Charlotte Grant and Holly McNamara have been ruled out of the upcoming November / December FIFA Women’s International Window due to injury.
McNamara was withdrawn from the squad last Tuesday following the confirmation that a ruptured right anterior crucial ligament would keep the Melbourne City forward on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.
A standard pre-camp evaluation has sidelined Grant after the defender was diagnosed with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, an arm injury will see goalkeeper and West Ham captain, Arnold, unavailable for the upcoming series against Canada.

Head Coach, Tony Gustavsson has named forward Remy Siemsen (Leicester City), midfielder Alex Chidiac (Tigres UANL Femenil) and goalkeeper Jada Whyman (Sydney FC) to replace the trio in the 23-player training camp squad. Chidiac featured for the CommBank Matildas in the recent AFC Asian Qualifiers while Siemsen and Whyman participated in Australia’s pre-camp ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™.
Australia will take on the world number 10 at Starlight Stadium in Victoria on Friday, 1 December with kick off at 7.30pm PST (2 December at 2.30pm AEDT) before closing out the year at BC Place in Vancouver on Tuesday, 5 December with kick off at 7.00pm PST (6 December at 2.00pm AEDT).
The CommBank Matildas’ final internationals of 2023 will be available in Australia live and free on Network 10 and live on Paramount+.
