CommBank Matildas to close out momentous 2023 in Canada

The CommBank Matildas will sign off on a memorable 2023 international calendar with a two-match friendly series against reigning Olympic Gold Medallists, Canada, away in Victoria and Vancouver this December.

Australia will spend their final FIFA Women’s International Window of the year with a training camp in Vancouver, Canada before meeting the current world number ten at Starlight Stadium in Victoria on Friday, 1 December with kick off at 7.30pm PST (2 December at 2.30pm AEDT).

Their final match of 2023 will be played at BC Place in Vancouver, the venue of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Final, on Tuesday, 5 December with kick off at 7.00pm PST (6 December at 2.00pm AEDT). The match will mark the close of the CommBank Matildas’ 2023 season and also the end of the storied international career of women’s football legend and Canada’s captain, Christine Sinclair.

Australia and Canada last met in the final Group B fixture of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ where the CommBank Matildas put in an exhilarating performance to take out a 4-0 victory at AAMI Park in Melbourne/Naarm.

Tickets to both matches of the series will commence on Wednesday, 25 October (EST) with a CanadaRED members pre-sale window.  The General Public on-sale date is Monday, 30 October with all ticket information available via CanadaSoccer.com.

Fans of the CommBank Matildas’ will be able to watch their final internationals of 2023 in Australia thanks to Football Australia’s broadcast partner, Paramount ANZ.
