Charles Perkins

Born in 1934 in Alice Springs, Charles Perkins played junior soccer in Adelaide. He graduated to the senior ranks and trialled with English club Everton. Perkins played for Croatia (SA) and Pan Hellenic (Sydney) before his appointment to the Australian Soccer Federation as vice-president in 1987. He was later appointed president of Canberra City SC and became head of Futsal where he has worked hard to promote the indoor game.
