Former Caltex Socceroo Scott Chipperfield will call time on his decorated playing career on Saturday.
The 43-year-old has featured for Illawarra District League outfit Bellambi Rosellas this season, the club he began his footballing journey with almost four decades ago.
He has spent the season balancing his time with the Rosellas on Saturdays and coaching Women's Premier League outfit Illawarra Stingrays on Sundays.
Chipperfield will coach the Stringrays again next season, but he is set to officially hang up the boots after this Saturday's grand final against Oak Flats.
"This is definitely it, the Premier League would be a bit sharp for me these days anyway," Chipperfield told the Illawarra Mercury.

"I always said I wanted to come back to play a season with Bellambi again, where it all started, so it's been great be part of it
"The boys have had a great season, unbeaten until the last round and winning the title, so hopefully we can go out there and finish it off."
Chipperfield - who played for Wollongong Wolves in the National Soccer League, Swiss Super League giants FC Basel, and represented Australia at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups during his illustrious career - retired professionally in 2012.
