Taggart Asia-bound as Brisbane Roar confirm exit

Brisbane Roar have announced the imminent departure of star striker Adam Taggart.

Taggart, 25, will leave the struggling Queenslanders after Brisbane agreed terms with an unnamed Asian club, subject to a medical clearance and to final terms of an agreement being met.

The forward has been a revelation for the ninth-placed Roar this season, scoring 11 goals in 18 appearances following his signature from Perth Glory in May last year.

"Adam has been a good servant for Brisbane Roar since his arrival and we wish him well with the next step in his career," said Brisbane Roar Football Club Chief Executive Officer David Pourre.

Taggart said he was confident better days were just around the corner for Brisbane.

“I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the club, players, coaches and fans for their support during my time at BRFC," Taggart said.

"I'm confident that the club can turn things around and have more success in the future."
