Thankfully, clubs around the league have been as stylish with their announcements as their business has been savvy - and here's the pick of the bunch.

Wanderers sign 'German midfielder'

Hinting at the imminent arrival of a German midfielder is one fool-proof way of whipping up interest on line.

And that's exactly what Western Sydney Wanderers did when they announced the signing of Alexander Baumjohann in August.

With over 120 appearances in Germany's top two divisions, Wanderers 'German midfielder' is sure to win over hearts and minds in Western Sydney.

Ziegler packed and ready for action

Baumjohann wasn't the only German Parramatta-bound this off-season.

A month earlier compatriot Patrick Ziegler signed on with the Red and Black after departing 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
