Super-sub Smith sinks Zlatan's Galaxy in 89th minute of seven-goal thriller

A match-winning cameo from Brad Smith helped Seattle Sounders beat Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s LA Galaxy 4-3 in Monday morning’s Major League Soccer classic.

The 25-year-old full-back - who was named in the Caltex Socceroos squad to face Kuwait - was sent on in the 82nd minute by coach Brian Schmetzer with scores at the CenturyLink Field in locked at 3-3.

And in the second last minute of additional time, Smith surged into the penalty area and whipped a brilliant low cross across the face of goal which was tapped home at the back-post Sounders forward Cristian Roldan.
