The 30-year-old is the all-time leading goal-scorer in the Westfield W-League, most notably for Canberra United after netting over 50 goals in eight seasons.

“I’m super excited to sign with Adelaide and ready to score some goals for the team,” Heyman said.

Campbell a coup for Perth Glory

Goalkeeper Eliza Campbell has re-signed for the Reds 2017/18 Westfield W-League campaign.

Perth Glory pulled off a major coup in securing the services of goalkeeper Eliza Campbell for the 2018/19 Westfield W-League season last week.

The 23-year-old made her Westfield Matildas debut against China last year and is regarded as one of the best shot-stoppers in the country.

She said she’s relishing the prospect of helping Bobby Despotovski's side in their quest for a maiden W-League title.

"The aim is to definitely make finals and then progress from there and I'm confident that we're going to have a good enough team at Perth to do that," Campbell said.

"I thought coming to Perth would a good change for me. Perth has always seemed like a good place to go to and a good club to play for, so I thought I'd give it a go."

Busy times for Canberra United

It’s been a busy off-season of recruitment for Canberra United, who have not rested following the departure of Michelle Heyman.

United have captured 25-year-old shot stopper Melisa Maizels, who returned home after two seasons at Perth Glory.

Nicki Flannery, another Canberra junior, signed on at McKellar Park and is aiming for a massive season 11 after missing a number of games last year through injury.

She was joined by young defender Taren King, who impressed Heather Garriock across eight appearances in her debut season and is looking to make herself a staple of Garriock’s squad in season 11.

Canberra have also snared the services of Newcastle Jets pair Nikola Orgill and Natasha Prior, who were both key players in the Novocastrians run to the finals last season.
