Young Socceroos defeat Thailand for three in a row at AFF U-18 Championship

The Young Socceroos have made it three wins from three at the AFF U-18 Championship after defeating Thailand 3-1 on Sunday evening AEST.

A double from Dylan Ruiz-Diaz, of Central Coast Mariners, stole the show for Gary van Egmond's side, with the attacker notching a second half brace.

Western Sydney Wanderers academy star Jarrod Carluccio was the other goal scorer for Australia, while Thailand pulled a goal back late via Natcha Promsomboon.

"It was not our best game but I am glad that we found a way to win this match," van Egmond told aseanfootball.org.

"Any other day, if Thailand had their scoring boots on, the score would have been very different,” van Egmond told aseanfootball.org.

Next up for the Young Socceroos is Malaysia on Tuesday, 6:30pm AEST kick off.
