Western Sydney Wanderers Powerchair player Andy Waite will be out for a slice of history at the half-time break of Friday evening’s Hyundai A-League match against the Central Coast Mariners.
Waite - who plays in wheelchair sport Powerchair Football for the Wanderers - has also represented his country in the pursuit.
Waite has made 111 appearances for the Wanderers and on Friday evening, he will try and break a Guinness World Record for the most spins in a Powerchair Wheelchair in one minute.

On the eve of the attempt, Waite hailed the partnership between the Wanderers and his team.
“We were the first official [Powerchair Football] team to be affiliated with a Hyundai A-League club and to have a club like the Wanderers behind us - they help us out and we help them out,” he said.
“It’s a really good partnership to make our sport bigger and better.
“And that’s the one thing this partnership has done for us.
“We even get some fans coming to our games now which is something we are not used to.
“Most of the time with Wheelchair sports, it’s just been family and a couple of friends supporting us.
“Now we’ve got people we don’t even know turning up and that really is the Wanderers way - supporting everybody.”
The Wanderers host the Mariners at Spotless Stadium on Friday evening.
