When are your Caltex Socceroos in action this weekend?

Is this the weekend Aaron Mooy and Mathew Ryan feature side by side for Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League?

That is the question on the mind of every Caltex Socceroos fan ahead of the Seagulls' clash with West Ham United on Sunday 12.00am AEST.

Mooy – who joined Brighton on loan from Huddersfield Town on transfer deadline day last week – was named on the substitutes bench by Albion boss Graham Potter in last weekend’s season-opening 3-0 win over Watford.

But with Brighton returning to East Sussex for the club’s maiden home match of the campaign, Potter could well be inclined to hand the Australian midfielder a Seagulls debut when West Ham come calling to the Amex.

What else is in store for your Caltex Socceroos this weekend? Read on to find out. All kick off times are in Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Luongo and Wednesday aim for three in a row

Massimo Luongo and Sheffield Wednesday will be out for their third straight league win when they face Millwall on Sunday.

Luongo joined the Steel City club on deadline day and made his debut from the bench in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Barnsley last weekend.

Jackson Irvine of Hull City was on the scoresheet last time out, and he’ll be one Brentford must marshal closely when the Tigers arrive in London on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Bailey Wright’s Bristol City entertain Queens Park Rangers only days after a Football League Cup exit on penalties to the Londoners on Wednesday.

In League One, Mark Milligan and Southend United are aiming for their first points of the season away at high-flying newly promoted Lincoln Town, and Harry Souttar’s Fleetwood Town travel to Doncaster.

All kick-off times are Sunday morning, 12.00am.

Leckie played 90 minutes for the Berlin-based club last time out – a 5-1 win over Eichstatt in the DFB-Pokal.

Caltex Socceroos teammate and Freiburg attacker Brandon Borrello has been dealt a slightly easier first-up match – he supplied the match-winner for his side’s DFB-Pokal win over Magdeburg last Saturday, and is in the running to start when Mainz turn up at Dreisamstadion.

But all eyes are back on the Serbian SuperLiga for the Australian defender, who travels to Spartak Subotica on Sunday morning, 4.00am.

Awer Mabil’s Europa League dream died against Rangers on Friday morning, and Danish Superliga duties take over the attacker with Midtjylland hosting Hobro on Monday morning, 12:00am.

Fellow Denmark-based Caltex Socceroos Mustafa Amini and Alex Gersbach face Horsens on Tuesday morning, 3.00am.

In Austria, James Jeggo’s Austria Wien entertain Flyeralarm Admira on Monday morning, 1.00am.

Big match for Taggart, Antonis and Suwon

Fresh from being named K-League player of the month for July, Adam Taggart travels to Gangwon with his Suwon Bluewings side looking to get back into the top six, and a Championship round place.
