It’s the start of a new season for a host of Caltex Socceroos in the English Championship as they begin their quest for possible promotion to the Premier League.
Aaron Mooy’s Huddersfield Town are back in the Championship following relegation from the EPL last season and will be hoping they can get off to a strong start.
The Terriers face a tricky first-up test at home, taking on Derby County at the John Smith’s Stadium at 4.45am on Tuesday (AEST).

While Derby no longer have Frank Lampard – who has moved to become Chelsea’s manager - at the helm, they are still one of the favourites for promotion under Dutchman Phillip Cocu.
Bailey Wright’s Bristol City also take on one of the promotion hopefuls, with Leeds United coming to Ashton Gate at 1.30am on Monday (AEST).
Other Caltex Socceroos to watch in the Championship this weekend include Jackson Irvine’s Hull City, who travel to Swansea City at 12am on Sunday (AEST).
At the same time there could be a few Aussies on the pitch in Stoke as well, with Massimo Luongo’s QPR arriving to take on Adam Federici’s Potters.
Meanwhile, in League One, Caltex Socceroos skipper Mark Milligan will lead out Southend United for their first match of the campaign, away at Coventry City (12am Sunday AEST).
Celtic striving for cloud nine
The Scottish Premiership also gets underway this weekend with Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani’s Celtic looking to secure a ninth title in a row.
The Caltex Socceroos duo’s side have a home match to open the campaign, taking on St Johnstone at 12am on Sunday (AEST).
In the Netherlands, PSV will be looking to bounce back from UEFA Champions League elimination in midweek when they open the Eredivisie season away to FC Twente (4.45am Sunday AEST).
Trent Sainsbury didn’t feature in the UCL qualifying loss to FC Basel but will be hoping to force his way into Mark van Bommel’s side this season.
After a first-up loss last weekend, James Jeggo’s Austria Wien will look to get their season up-and-running when they host LASK at 1am on Sunday (AEST).
In Denmark, Awer Mabil’s FC Midtjylland are going for four straight wins when they host AaB on Monday morning (2am AEST).
Meanwhile, Mustafa Amini and Alex Gersbach’s AGF are still searching for their first victory, as they head to Lyngby at 3am on Tuesday (AEST).
Pohang next in Taggart’s sights
Adam Taggart’s sensational goal-scoring form will ensure he’s a marked man when his Suwon Bluewings host Pohang Steelers at 9pm on Sunday (AEST).
The Caltex Socceroos striker has scored nine goals in his last nine matches and sits atop the goal charts in the K-League with 13 for the campaign.
Fellow Aussie Terry Antonis is also likely to feature for Suwon, who are currently sixth and occupy the last of the playoff spots, three points ahead of Sangju Sangmu.

In Japan, Mitch Langerak’s Nagoya Grampus are desperate to snap a nine-game winless streak in the J-League as they head to Urawa Reds on Saturday (8pm AEST).
Nagoya’s poor run of form has seen them drop to 10th, although they could leapfrog Urawa into ninth with a win.
Meanwhile, Brad Smith’s Seattle Sounders should take all three points when they host Western Conference strugglers Sporting KC in the MLS at 12pm on Monday (AEST).
