Can Ryan’s Brighton deny Man City the Premier League crown?

There’s little pressure Maty Ryan’s Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday morning (12am) as the Seagulls – who secured their English Premier League status last weekend – host Manchester City.

But there is still plenty on the line at the Amex Stadium, with Pep Guardiola’s City needing a win to ensure they claim back-to-back EPL crowns.

If City slip-up at Brighton, it opens the door for Liverpool to clinch the title if they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

The Aussie gloveman is a boyhood Reds fan and would love nothing more than to help them win their first EPL crown with a big performance against Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Co.

Elsewhere, Aaron Mooy’s already-relegated Huddersfield Town end what has been a tumultuous campaign away at Southampton.

All games in the Premier League this weekend kick-off at the same time.

North of the border, Tom Rogic’s Celtic are gearing up for another torrid clash against their Glasgow rivals Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday night at 9pm.

Rogic and his teammates secured an incredible eighth straight league title last weekend and they will not take their collective foot off the gas for the Old Firm Derby.

Also in the Scottish Premiership, Mark Milligan and his Hibernian side head to Kilmarnock on Sunday morning (12am).

Vukovic and Genk in touching distance of Belgian title

Danny Vukovic and Genk will get their hands on the title in Belgium if they can beat second-placed Club Brugge in a vital championship-round match at 2am on Monday.

Genk currently hold a six-point gap to Brugge with three games to go and while a draw would all but put their hands on the trophy, only all three points would make it official.

There could also be a couple of Aussies involved in a vital championship-defining clash in the Eredivisie.

Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich’s PSV Eindhoven trail leaders Ajax on goal difference in the season's penultimate round, so need a win away at fourth-placed AZ on Sunday night (10.30pm) to ensure they can pounce on any potential slip-up by the Amsterdam club.

Ajax – who were bundled out of the UEFA Champions League in heart-breaking fashion on Thursday (AEST) – host fifth-placed Utrecht at the same time.

Meanwhile, Alex Gersbach’s NAC Breda are away at Heerenveen, also at 10.30pm Sunday.

Amini’s AGF looking to edge closer to Europe

Caltex Socceroos midfielder Mustafa Amini and his AGF side are at home for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League playoff with AaB Aalborg in Denmark.

AGF won the opening leg on the road 1-0 last weekend and will be confident of finishing the job at 2am on Monday.

Amini's Aussie teammate Awer Mabil is also in action on Monday morning (4am), with his second-placed FC Midtjylland hosting recently crowned champions FC Copenhagen.

In Germany, it’s the penultimate round of the season and Mathew Leckie’s Hertha Berlin are on the road at Augsburg on Saturday night at 11.30pm.

In the 2.Bundesliga, Robbie Kruse’s VfL Bochum are away at St Pauli at 11.30pm on Sunday night.

Midfielder James Jeggo returns to take on his former club Sturm Graz with his Austria Wien outfit in the Austrian Bundesliga at 10.30pm Sunday night, while Apostolos Giannou’s AEK Larnaca travel to Apollon in Cyprus.

Aussies ready to face-off in Japan

Caltex Socceroos goalkeeper Mitch Langerak will be doing his best to stop shots from compatriot Andrew Nabbout and his teammates in their J.League clash on Sunday (4pm).

Langerak’s Nagoya Grampus are currently second in the Japanese top-flight, hot on the heels of leaders FC Tokyo, and will be keen to get all three points at home to Nabbout’s Urawa Reds, who sit ninth.

In Saudi Arabia, Milos Degenek’s Al Hilal – one-point behind Saudi Pro League leaders Al Nassr – travel to Al Ittifaq on Sunday morning (5.30am).

Fellow Caltex Socceroos defender Matthew Jurman’s Al Ittihad are in action at the same time, hosting Al Fateh.
