Westfield W-League Save of Round 7 – Jada Whyman

Jada Whyman added another two clean sheets to her Sydney FC resume in Round 7 of the Westfield W-League but the week could have started much worse were it not for her Save of the Round effort against Melbourne City.

Six minutes in to the Thursday night clash between last season's Grand Finalists, the defending Premiers and Champions broke away and Alex Chidiac spun past her marker to bear down on the Sky Blues goal.

But Whyman showed her technique and quick reactions, blocking the Westfield Matildas striker's effort with her legs to keep the scores locked at 0-0, before Ante Juric's side went on to claim a 2-0 win and extend their perfect record.

Whyman has conceded only one goal in her six competition matches this season as Sydney have stormed to the top of the ladder, seven points clear of second-placed Canberra – who they beat 4-0 on Sunday – as the Sky Blues edge closer to their first Premiership title in a decade.
