Westfield W-League Ins and Outs: Round 12

A familiar face is on the verge of her Westfield W-League return as Hayley Raso has been included in Brisbane Roar's squad to face Sydney FC on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old suffered three fractured vertebrae whilst playing for the Portland Thorns in the National Women's Soccer League back in August.

After months of rehabilitation, including a stint in a wheelchair and then learning to walk and run again, Raso may just feature for Mel Andreatta's outfit.

While one player returns, another will be missing with Chioma Ubogagu unavailable due to international commitments with England.

Adelaide United will be missing some of its international firepower, with Iceland internationals Fanndís Fridriksdóttir and Gunnhildur Jónsdóttir both unavailable due to international commitments.

And Melbourne City have promoted Nia Stamatopoulos to their Westfield W-League side for the game against Newcastle Jets on Sunday. The 15-year-old became Melbourne City's youngest ever player when she started against Canberra United in Round 1.
