Westfield W-League final round: Premiers' Plate, top four and all you need to know

The Premiership and top four are both yet to be decided as a scintillating Westfield W-League season reaches a thrilling conclusion.

Here is everything you need to know for this weekend's final round.

WHERE IS THE PREMIERS' PLATE HEADED?

Brisbane Roar are in pole position to win their first Premiers' Plate under Mel Andreatta and third overall in their history, having last finished top in 2012/13.

The Queensland club only need a point from Sunday's home match against Canberra United, a team they beat 1-0 last month, to sew up the silverware.

Sydney FC are the only side that can snatch the regular season title away from Roar, with their superior goal difference meaning a three-point swing would be enough.

Kicking off 30 minutes prior to their title rivals, the Sky Blues must win the Sydney Derby and hope Brisbane lose to Canberra.

FINALS SERIES EQUATION

With Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle Jets having already confirmed their participation, the battle for the last remaining place in the top four is left to Melbourne City and Canberra United.

Reigning champions City know three points away to Newcastle would secure their spot, while an unlikely four-goal victory would even see them leapfrog the Jets into third.

But anything less than a win opens the door to Canberra, who will know what they have to do by the time of Sunday's clash at Suncorp Stadium.

Beating Brisbane is their best hope, although a point would be enough if City lose by two or more goals.

FINAL FIXTURES

Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory

Adelaide's loss to Roar in the penultimate round consigned them to the wooden spoon, but the Reds can still finish on a high when they host traditional rivals Victory on Friday night.

Newcastle Jets v Melbourne City

Three points for Newcastle puts them in the frame for a home semi-final, while City will be out to book a Finals Series berth at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Sydney FC v Western Sydney Wanderers

The final Sydney Derby of the season sees the Sky Blues attempt to stay in premiership contention by overcoming eighth-placed Wanderers.

Brisbane Roar v Canberra United

Sunday's second match will be a blockbuster as the title and top four are decided.
