Westfield Matildas’ April friendly in Utah cancelled

Football Federation Australia (FFA) received correspondence from US Soccer overnight confirming the decision to cancel April’s international friendly between the USWNT and the Westfield Matildas in Utah due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

FFA acknowledges the decision and, like US Soccer, is committed to putting the health and welfare of its players, staff, and fans first at all times.

FFA will work with US Soccer to reschedule the match in the future.

FFA will hold discussions with Canada Soccer over the coming days to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the staging of the planned international friendly in Vancouver, currently scheduled for April 14 (local time).

FFA is currently reviewing activity for all its senior and youth national teams and will make further announcements regarding these activities as necessary as soon as possible.
