WATCH: Western United FC hold their first training session

On a historic day for new Hyundai A-League club Western United FC, preparations for the 2019/20 Season have begun with the club holding their first training session on Monday.

Under the watchful eye of inaugural coach Mark Rudan, the squad got straight down to work with less than three months until their first-ever Hyundai A-League match.

While excitement has been building ever since the club were officially announced as the next Hyundai A-League franchise in December, this is the first time the squad have been out on the pitch.
