Wanderers cut quartet loose

Western Sydney Wanderers have released four players from their contracts including club vice-captain Tarek Elrich and striker Dino Kresinger.

Western Sydney Wanderers FC today announced the release of four of the players that formed the basis of their inaugural Hyundai A-League campaign in 2012/13.

The club today confirmed that Dino Kresinger, Tarek Elrich, Joey Gibbs and Rocky Visconte would not be offered new contracts as the club prepares for the 2013/14 A-League season and AFC Champions League.

Wanderers FC Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman praised the players contributions:

“The inaugural season for the Western Sydney Wanderers has been an amazing journey for the players, coaching staff, club, partners and fans.

Dino, Tarek, Joey and Rocky were all part of this journey and all played an integral part in the success of the club and winning the Premiers Plate in this historic season.

It-s unfortunate that we are unable to retain all of the squad.

The Wanderers door will always be open to Dino, Tarek, Rocky and Joey and no one should ever underestimate their contribution to this, our foundation season. We wish them well in their future football endeavours".
