The star-studded Brisbane Roar face a massive test of their resolve when the make the long trip to Perth to tackle a talented Glory outfit. The Glory will be only partly satisfied with their 5-2 at Newcastle Jets, given they twice allowed their opponents to equalise.
Ella Mastrantonio returns to boost an already skilled Glory midfield, led by the mercurial Collette McCallum. Kate Gill will be looking to last longer than the hour she did in Newcastle, ahead of linking up with the Westfield Matildas squad next week. This contest is shaping as a real six-pointer with the Glory knowing they can put a significant early gap on their opponents with a win here.
Despite last weekend-s one-sided defeat Brisbane, of course, have far too much quality to be on the canvas for long. No less than nine players will link up with the Westfield Matildas squad next week, while focus will again be on headline-recruit Nadine Angerer.
