A tribute match to honour the life of the late former Hyundai A-League midfielder Liam Miller has sold out.
Miller sadly passed away in February this year, aged just 36, after a short battle with cancer.
Tickets for the match on September 25 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, Ireland only went on sale earlier this week, with all 45,000 snapped up in just over 24 hours.
The match will feature an Ireland & Celtic XI coming up against a Manchester United Legends side, two clubs the midfielder played for during his career.
Some big names are set to grace the pitch for the match with the Roy Keane-coached Red Devils side set to feature Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand.
While a combined Celtic and Ireland side will have the likes of Damien Duff, Neil Lennon and Robbie Keane paying tribute.
Organisers of the event have described interest in the match as phenomenal.
"We are absolutely thrilled that so many people are supporting this wonderful event in Páirc Uí Chaoimh,” Chairman of the Organising Committee Michael O’Flynn said.
"This will be a unique sporting occasion in Cork, not only because of the calibre of the soccer stars who will be taking part, but also because it will feature both soccer and GAA sports at the same time.
“It will be a fantastic tribute to Liam Miller who was one of Cork’s sporting heroes and a great celebration of sport in Cork."
Proceeds of the match will go towards supporting Miller's wife and three children along with a number of charities.
As well as playing for Celtic, United, Sunderland and QPR, Miller also played two seasons with Perth Glory and one with Brisbane Roar, winning the Hyundai A-League title in 2013/14, followed by a short stint with Melbourne City.
Miller also played 21 games and scored one goal for the Republic of Ireland.
