Toure's season in jeopardy after breaking foot

Adelaide United wonder-kid Al Hassan Toure could miss the rest of the Hyundai A-League season after breaking a bone in his foot.

Toure, 19, suffered a stress fracture of the second metatarsal in his right foot whilst on international duty with Australia's U-23 national team during the recent AFC U-23 Championship, in which Graham Arnold's side booked their ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Toure will be ruled out of action 'for an indefinite period of time' according to the club, who are seeking a surgical opinion in the coming days.

It comes months after the teenager pledged his international future to Australia following a remarkable elevation to first-team football at Adelaide.
