Goodwin delivers dream double in fantastic Final

Who can forget that breathtaking Craig Goodwin brace?

Back home after a spell abroad, the wing wizard inspired Adelaide United to their 2-1 triumph over Sydney FC with a match-winning double in a rollicking conclusion to the competition.

Marco Kurz's men were seeking to become the first club to lift the trophy twice and made a fine start through Goodwin's exquisite free-kick.

Adam Le Fondre quickly responded from the spot for the holders, but their resistance ended as Goodwin rifled in a right-footed winner in the 74th minute at a bouncing Coopers Stadium.

An outstanding night in the annals of Australian football.
