Expert selection panel member and Daily Telegraph football editor Tom Smithies has chosen his team for the Foxtel A-League All Stars.
It-s a squad mostly made up from players from NSW - but, in Smithies-s opinion, also representing the two sides in the league.
‘It's a balancing act, representing as much of the A-League as possible while recognising that the best two teams were both from NSW,” Smithies said.
“In defence I like Traore's promise, and Thwaite as a ball-playing defender to complement Topor-Stanley's resolute defending. The front five are uber-attacking, so Milligan will be in for a busy night.
“In goal, there's not much between Galekovic and Covic, but the Adelaide keeper deserves the nod for sheer consistency in the A-League.”
