Ted Rowley

English-born Ted Rowley migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He formed the Kalgoorlie club before moving to Adelaide in 1908. Rowley played State league for 14 years and represented South Australia nine times. He was chairman of the South Australian Association in 1940 and president from 1948-54. Now deceased, Rowley was the State representative on the Australian Soccer Council, national selector and the first South Australian to be awarded Life Membership of the Australian Soccer Association. He was also a Life Member of the South Australian Association and had the Association ground named after him in 1938.
